Country needs BJP at Centre: Katiyar

Basti, Apr 14 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Vinay Katiyar today asserted the country needs a government headed by his party for development and protection of its interests.

''The country knows that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the best Prime Minister ever. One will take ages to emulate the works done by him during his tenure,'' the BJP general secretary said addressing an election meeting here.

The country is again awaiting the BJP-ruled government at the Centre, Mr Katiyar claimed.

Training guns at Congress-led UPA government, Mr Katiyar said Congress had always ''cheated'' the people.

Turning the heat on the ruling Samajwadi Party, the firebrand BJP leader alleged at present, UP is ''plagued by crime, poverty, corruption and unemployment.'' ''The Mulayam Singh Yadav regime has pushed the state three ages back...whenever Mr Yadav came to power, he got Congress' support.

But, the game is about to end,'' he said.
