Cong will usher development in UP: Rahul

Badaun, Apr 14 (UNI) Congress MP Rahul Gandhi today asserted that the party was committed to usher development in Uttar Pradesh, while BSP, BJP and SP were ''hell bent on plundering the state.'' Addressing an election meeting here, Rahul observed that when the country gained independence, U P had led from the front in development parameters.

''However, the non-Congress governments have divided the state in the name of caste and religion, as a consequence of which UP continues to lag in the development race,'' he added.

Rahul further alleged Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav had joined hands with RSS to create a wedge among people in the name of religion and caste.

''People will seek revenge by voting against mafia and criminals in the ongoing assembly poll,'' he asserted.

The Congress leader observed the state would witness better times ahead, if only the people, especially the youth support his party.

Exhorting the youth to actively support the Congress, Rahul said that his ''crusade'' to bring about a positive change in UP would continue.
