Tripura: BSF seize Rs 88 lakh smuggled goods

Agartala, Apr 14: The BSF has seized smuggled goods worth for Rs 88 lakh and apprehended 83 militants during March in Tripura.

BSF sources here today said that the jawans have seized contraband goods like Narcotics, Forest produce, Ganja, Physidyl, sarees, garments and other materials worth for Rs 84,22,877 which were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.

About smuggled goods worth Rs 3,84,534 were seized and apprehended 40 Indian and 43 Bangladeshis during infiltration, sources said adding that the BSF jawans also nabbed seven NSCN militants with huge quantity of arms and ammunitions.
