Baisakhi celebrated in national capital

New Delhi, Apr 14 (UNI) Baisakhi, the harvest festival and the day Guru Gobind Singh established the Khalsa panth, was celebrated across the national capital today.

Devotees thronged temples and Gurdwaras and took a dip in sarovars.

The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) hosted a congregation at Gurdwara Majnu Ka Tila.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Ram Babu Sharma extended his gretings to people on the occasion.

Delhi Tourism is organising a two-day Baisakhi festival at Pitam Pura Dilli Haat.

Besides, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit flagged off a fully equipped breast cancer detection mobile van, being run by DSGMC.
