Babli issue: BJP to organise protest demo on Apr 17

Hyderabad, Apr 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh BJP unit will organise protest demonstrations before district collectorates in Telangana on April 17 to protest against the state and central government's failure to stop the Babli project.

In a statement here today, BJP state General Secretary Ch Samba Murthy said state BJP President Bandaru Dattatreya would participate in the protest in Karimnagar district while General Secretary Laxman and senior leader T Rajeshwar Rao will join in Adilabad and Nizamabad districts respectively.

He said the BJP would intensify its struggle against the Babli project if the government failed to stop the construction.

Telangana region would face a shortage of drinking and irrigation water, once the project was completed, he added.
