Ambedkar's followers throng MHOW

Indore, Apr 14 (UNI) A 'Mahakumbh' was today organised on the occasion of birth anniversary of ''Father of Indian Constitution'' Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar at his birthplace MHOW in Indore.

About one lakh followers of Babasaheb reached here from Maharashtra and other states besides Indore and nearby districts for paying tributes to him.

The government had decided to organise a 'Mahakumbh' on 'Ambedkar Jayanti' from this year.

The government had made elaborate arrangements in MHOW to provide facilities to Dr Ambedkar's followers, who reached his birthplace and visited his monument, which was decorated with flowers and lights.

Later, floral tributes were paid to his statue.
