After Antakshri, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Star Plus
Mumbai, Apr 14 (UNI) The music-based show 'Star Voice of India-Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa' (SVOI), conceptualised by TV's man of music Gajendrra Singh, will make a debut on Star Plus.
'SVOI' elevates the concept of talent hunts and reality television to a whole new level with its unique and innovative format.
The auditions for which will begin at Kolkata on April 29. The auditions will be held in Mumbai (May four), Indore (May five), Delhi (May 11), Jaipur (May 12) and Lucknow (May 18).
For the first time ever, the talent from each audition city will get an opportunity to perform live in their respective cities at exciting ground events even before the show goes on air.
'SVOI' is produced by Saibaba Telefilms. Gajendrra Siingh, the creator of some of the popular music-based shows on television, will also direct the show.
The show will be hosted by playback singer Shaan, who had earlier hosted 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' on Zee TV.
Incidentally, Siingh's other popular show 'Antakshri' was shifted from Zee TV to Star One, a sister channel of Star Plus, a few months ago.
Playback singers Alka Yagnik and Abhijeet Bhattacharya, music composers Aadesh Shrivastava, Jatin and Lalit Pandit will form the esteemed panel of judges for SVOI.
After an exhaustive round of auditions and performances, 30 finalists will come together for a chance to compete to become the 'Star Voice of India', said Mr Harsh Rohatgi, General Manager, Marketing&Content, STAR India Pvt Ltd while announcing launch of the show here today.
Gajendrra Siingh said ''Music is our passion and has always been. We have always endeavoured to do something with music, since we are very involved with this concept. Talent scouting is our forte. Our focus has always been to tap talent and with Star Voice of India, we are here to do that once again. The differentiation in this cluttered space is the music and the participants. Besides, best production values, we are also trying to bring in a new and interesting format to make the show a success.'' ''I am very thrilled and excited about hosting SVOI.
