12 injured, 3 critical in road accident

Kohima Apr 14 (UNI) At least twelve persons were injured, three of them seriously, when a bus, in which they were travelling, fell into a hundred-feet-deep gorge near Pherima on NH-61 yesterday.

Police here today said that the private bus, with 15 passengers on board, was travelling from Dimapur to Kohima.

The cause of the accident was yet to be known, police said.

First aid was provided by the personnel of 40th Battalion of Asom Rifles, who immediately arrived on the spot.

The injured were then rushed to various hospitals of Dimapur and Kohima.
