Wage Boards for journalists,non-journalists likely this month

Kolkata, Apr 12 (UNI) The wage boards for pay revision of journalists and non-journalists are likely to be constituted this month, Union Labour Minister Oscar Fernandes today said.

''I am trying to constitute the wage boards very soon,'' Mr Fernandes told reporters on the sidelines of a programme here.

In reply to a question, the Minister said the wage boards would be formed this month.

The UPA government had announced on December eight its decision to set up wage boards for journalists and non-journalists under a common Chairman to revise the old pay structure of newspaper and news agency employees.
