Use printed voter slips to prevent delay during rush: EC

Lucknow, Apr 12 (UNI) The Election Commission today directed all polling officials to use printed voter slips to handle heavy rush during polling and said additional polling officials could be rushed to tackle the situation.

State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Anuj Kumar Bishnoi said here that reserve polling officials would be rushed to those polling booths where there queque is long.

The sector magistrates would be responsible for dealing with such situation and all the polling booths would get printed blank voter slip to speed up the voting.

In another decision, the EC has directed all the polling officials only to write last four digit of any Photo ID number shown by the voter in the 17(A) register.
