Urban development meeting in Kochi on Apr 14

Kochi, Apr 11 (UNI) A state-level meeting of the secretaries in charge of urban development will held here on April 14.

The meeting, under the aegis of Secretary to Union Ministry of Urban Development M Ramachandran, would discuss issues, including capacity building at state and city levels, monitoring and implementation of Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission projects and urban infrastructure development schemes for small and medium towns, an official release said here today.

The meeting would also deliberate on communication, community participation fund and city consultation and new technologies in sewage and solid waste management.

All secretaries in charge of Urban Development Ministry of all states and Union Territories are expected to take part in the meeting.
