Two injured in Kashmir landmine blast
Srinagar, Apr 12 (UNI) Two peoples were injured in a landmine blast near the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir today, official sources said.
They said one Bashir Ahmad Malik and Junaid Ahmad, both residents of Thathri Kilshey Tulail, were injured when they stepped over a land mine at Gulab Kilshey Post.
The injured were admitted to hospital in critical condition.
The mines were planted by security forces to thwart any infiltration through the post.
More than 100 people have lost their limbs in the mine blasts in the border area during the past 17 years in the Kashmir valley and more than 20 killed.
The army and other Non-Govermental Organisations (NGO) have provided artificial limbs to those affected.
