New Delhi, Apr 12 (UNI) Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Prem Singh today asked Delhi Police Commissioner K K Paul to conduct an inquiry into an alleged misbehaviour of the police with Congress MLA Mahabal Misra.

Immediately after the Question Hour in the Assembly, Mr Misra raised a privilege motion and stood up to say that the police had misbehaved with him during the just-concluded MCD polls.

Alleging further that the police even refused to register an FIR in this regard, he demanded that action be taken against those responsible for the incident.

Speaking on the issue, Congress MLA Naseeb Singh demanded that security be provided to all MLAs.

Delhi Congress President Rambabu Sharma called for summoning of the Police Commissioner to the House and demanded that an FIR be registered against the officials responsible for the incident.

Responding to the members, the Speaker said he was writing to the Police Commissioner conveying the concerns of the members and asking him to submit in the House, at the earliest, a report on the incident.
