Silver rises, Gold steady
Mumbai, Apr 12 (UNI) Silver moved slightly upwards by Rs five per kg on good demand even as Gold remained steady today on moderate demand on the Bombay Bullion Exchange.
Silver fineness .999 opened downwards at Rs 19,895 per kg on lack of fresh demand, later it slightly recovered and closed at Rs 19,915 with a gain of Rs five per kg from yesterday's close.
In London, Silver also declined at USD 13.95/13.97 per troy ounce against USD 13.93/13.95 per troy ounce in New York.
Standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) opened downward at Rs 9,440 and Rs 9,490 per ten gm respectively and remained steady and closed at the same level from its last close.
In London, Gold declined at USD 676.00/677.85 per troy ounce as compared to USD 676.00/678.00 per troy ounce in New York on Wednesday.
