M'shtra by-polls: Shiv Sena, NCP, BJP leading
Mumbai, Apr 12: Shiv Sena, NCP and BJP candidates are leading in Maharashtra's Ramtek, Erandol and Jalgaon constituencies respectively, where the counting for the Lok Sabha by-elections is in progress.
In Ramtek constituency, Shiv Sena candidate Prakash Jadhav has established a comfortable lead of 7,000 votes against his nearest rival Subodh Mohite of Congress at the end of the third round.
Mr Jadhav was polled 46,126 votes, while Mr Mohite has secured 39,123 votes and Congress rebel Ranjit Deshmukh has got 16,534 votes.
In Erandol constituency, Vasant More of NCP was leading by a margin of 3,000 votes against his nearest rival Dr B S Patil of BJP at the end of the second round.
Mr More was polled over 31,000 votes, while Mr Patil is trailing with 28,000 votes.
In Jalgaon constituency, BJP candidate Haribhau Jawale was leading by a margin of 7,000 votes against his nearest rival Arjun Bhangale of Congress.
