Security stepped up at Porbandar for Sonia's public rally tomorrow
Porbandar, Apr 12 (UNI) Security has been stepped up here ahead of Congress President Sonia Gandhi's visit to Porbandar tomorrow.
The Congress preident has been provided with the 'Z' category Security. Police officials are taking no chances and have made foolproof security arrangements for her at the Chopati ground here where she will address the rally.
''We don't want to take any chance,'' says In charge DSP P P Kanani.
The DSP himself is supervising security arrangments in the city.
Unprecedented security arrangements were made in and around the city.
Seven DySP, 15 Inspectors, 45 Sub Inspectors, 550 police constables, 50 SRP Jawans and 225 Homeguards have been deployed in the city to make sure that no untoward incident takes place during the Congress leader's visit to Porbandar.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi would address a public rally over culmination of Mahatma Gandhi Sandesh Yatra by Cyclists at Porbandar on April 13.
