Police conduct surprise inspection of explosives godowns

Kancheepuram, Apr 12 (UNI) The police today conducted a surprise inspection of explosives godowns here.

Police teams visited explosives godowns at Mambakkam, Murugambakkam and Othivakkam and advised the owners and employees on the rules relating to storage and transportation of explosives.

The inspections come in the wake of the recent jeep explosion at Tindivanam in Villupuram District which claimed 16 lives and hurt several others.
