Movement of vehicles affected due to rainfall in Manipur
Imphal, April 12 (UNI) Heavy showers during the past few days disrupted traffic in Imphal.
The water level at Imphal, Nambul and Iril rivers of Manipur had increased due to the prolonged downpour. But the rivers were flowing below the danger mark.
The recent hailstorm and gale destroyed crops at Bishenpur and Thoubal districts. The storm blew off the roof tops of some houses.
However, no casualty was reported so far, official sources said.
The rain also brought down the mercury level. The minimum temperature was about 14 degree Celcius while the maximum was about 19. The humidity was about 96 per cent.
The state recorded about 9 mm of rainfall during the past 24 hours.
