LADC independent member missing since April 5

Aizawl, Apr 12 (UNI) Mizoram's Lai Autonomous District Council(LADC) independent member Vandailova has been missing since April 5.

With the ruling MNF and Congress fighting for majority in the Lai council horse trading is suspected to be the reason behind Mr Vandailova's disappearance.

'' He is believed to be hiding because of the present political situation in LADC,'' Lawngtlai village council president H Remmawia said here today.

Recently, police had seized illegal arms from Mr Vandailova here.

According to sources, Vandailova along with two other Lai MDCs had left for Lawngtlai from Lai on April 5.

While the two MDCs reached Lawngtlai the same day, Mr Vandailova failed to do so.

Sources said the people of Lai district were disappointed with the behaviour of their representatives, that resulted into the suspension of the council, only one a half year after it was formed.

Though the suspension is likely to be lifted on May 5, the people are demanding for repoll.
