Jaipur Foot on way to Lebanon
Jaipur, Apr 12 (UNI) The famous Jaipur Foot will now make its way to Lebanon on the invitation of the UN Peace Keeping Force.
A team of five technicians from 'Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti' will leave today for Lebanon for a 12-day camp to fit artificial limbs to over 100 identified amputees who lost their legs in the blasts few months ago.
Jaipur Foot has proved useful for limbless patients in over 20 countries who often are victims of war and landmines.
Samiti's secretary S R Mehta said they had held a camp in Afghanistan recently. Jaipur Foot is unique in the sense that shoes can be worn on them and you can even squat on the floor.
