ISRO to sponsor students to International Astronautical Congress

Bangalore, Apr 12 (UNI) Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), along with the Astronautical Society of India (ASI), will sponsor 50 Indian students to attend the International Astronautical Congress (IAC-2007), hosted jointly by the two entities in Hyderabad in September.

The Congress was being organised by the International Asronautical Federation in cooperation with the International Academy of Astronautics and International Institute of Space Law.

The event would be attended by about 2,000 delegates from space agencies, industries, academia and international organisations.

Students studying in 11th and 12th standards/pre-university, under-graduate students who have already completed their first year in science, engineering or law courses and post graduate students of science, engineering and law would be eligible for selection.
