Humidity weighs heavily despite dip in temperature
Kolkata, Apr 12 (UNI) With temperature in the city dipping by 2 degrees Celsius, the city got respite from the scorching summer heat.
Although the weather remained cool under the shades, but one cannot afford to go outdoors without sun protection any more.
People were out on the streets with umbrellas and sun glasses, while television advertisements and hoardings along the roads screamed at Kolkatans, urging them to buy their brand of sun-screen and sun block lotions.
Met office sources said the maximum temperature today dipped to 33.8 degrees from yesterday's 35.6 degrees Celsius. Maximum humidity level was high at 90 per cent, with the sky remaining mostly cloudy.
There has been no rainfall.
