Four girls drown

Malappuram, Apr 12 (UNI) Four girls drowned in a village pond at Karappuram Balamkulam in Malappuram district of Kerala early today.

Police identified the deceased as Vidhya (10), Manju, Laila, and Athira, all below ten years of age.

Their bodies, which were fished out by local people, have been sent to a nearby hospital for post-mortems, police added.
