CM lays foundation of Rs 15.63 crore sewerage scheme for Nurpur
Shimla, Apr, 12 (UNI) Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh laid the foundation stone of Rs 15.63 crore sewerage scheme for Nurpur town of the Kangra district of the state.
Addressing a public meeting at Jassur in the district last evening, he said the sewerage would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 15.63 crore and would facilitate 13,000 households of the town.
Mr Singh said the Nurpur segment has emerged as a model of development not only in the district, but in the entire state.
All basic amenities were now being made available by consolidating the existing and creating additional facilities to cater to the requirements of the local people, he said.
He emphasised the need to maintain the historical status of Nurpur town and said additional facilities would be created to meet the requirements of the people.
