CD showing Saddam's execution seized in UP

Lucknow, Apr 12: Police today lodged an FIR against unknown people for distributing a VCD after the public meeting of a Samajwadi Party candidate, showing the execution of deposed Iraqi president Saddam Hussein in Muzzafarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. Police sources claimed here the CD was being distributed after a public meeting of ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate Shahid Akhlak in Khatauli yesterday. Akhlak was earlier with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and had recently switched sides.

Police today registered a case against 'unknown persons' and seized some of the CDs.

The reported CD allegedly contains scenes from the hanging of Saddam Hussein. Part two of the CD is about the 'Mayajal' (gimmicks) of BJP. It claims the BJP and BSP together would try to confuse the electorate during the ongoing assembly elections. Its third part asks Muslims to stay united for the betterment of the community.
