Call money resumes firm at 4.00-4.25 pc
Mumbai, Apr 12: The interbank call money rates today opened higher at 4.00-4.25 per cent as compared to the previous closing rates of 3.50-3.75 per cent due to increased liquidity funds by bankers, dealers said.
Later, it fluctuated between 3.25 per cent and 4.50 per cent in mid morning session.
Cash surplus continued to be on the higher side, which was indicated by the LAF window. Availability of fund is sufficient to absorb the bond auctions outflows Rs. 10,000 crore.
On the back of ample liquidity, money market rates are likely to trade steady, a leading banker pointed out.
