BSNL introduces mobile services in Tripura

Agartala, Apr 12: BSNL, a leading Telecom, has introduced its mobile services in Kailashahar town of Tripura's North district yesterday.

Chief General Manager (Circle one) A K Gupta here said the Union Home Ministry had approved for extending of mobile services in main towns, close to the international border.

'' We will be soon providing connections in another bordermost town of Kamalpur in Dhalai district within a week, a BSNL spokesman said.

About 14 more bordering towns of the state would be brought under mobile service by June and the BSNL had already install more 163 towers in different parts of the state for improvement of its service, the CGM said.

'' We are also introducing the pre-paid system for land phones in the state and by June mobile services will be introduced in Belonia and Sabroom in south district along with Sonamura and Khowai in west district,'' Mr Gupta said.
