AIR, DD employees stage dharna

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 12 (UNI) Employees of the Akashvani and Doordarshan today staged a dharna in front of the local offices as part of the nation-wide agitation to oppose privatisation.

The employees under the banner of the National Federation of Akashvani and Doordarshan Employees said they would oppose the move to privatise All India Radio and Doordarshan.

While Mr V Surendran Pillai, MLA inaugurated the dharna in front of the AIR, Mr V Sivankutty addressed the gathering in front of the Doordarshan Kendra.
