Srinagar, Apr 12 (UNI) As many as 425 fresh recruits, including 22 from Jammu and Kashmir, were today inducted into the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) as constables to tackle internal security in the insurgency-hit state.

The fresh recruits were inducted at an impressive passing out parade at the CRPF recruitment training centre at Humhama here. CRPF Inspector General of Police, Training, Arun Chibber took the salute.

The constables have been imparted training in multifarious subjects ranging from normal law and order duties to serious internal security problems such as tackling secession and insurgency in different parts of the country.

The recruits have also been conditioned to operate in different environmental conditions.

Sufficient emphasis was given on subjects such as law, human rights and police-public relations.

The recruits are inducted into the CRPF as constables only on passing of rigorous test examinations conducted periodically during the basic training of about one year.

On successful completion of the basic training, the constables would be deployed in various units of the CRPF spread across the country tackling different problems of internal security.
