Two members of a family among 4 killed, fire in CRPF camp in Kashmir

Srinagar Apr 11(UNI) Four persons including a man and his eight- -years-old daughter were killed and a police constable injured in different incidents in the Kashmir valley overnight.

A CRPF camp in South Kashmir was gutted in a devastating fire damaging some weapons.

Official sources said a Tata Mobile vehicle hit and critically injured three pedestrians at Anantnag, about 55 km from here in south Kashmir last night.

The injured was admitted to a hospital where Bashir Ahmed Dar and his daughter Shafia Bashir succumbed to their injuries. One of the injured was identified as Mohammed Ashraf Reshi.

They said one Hamza Wani was wounded critically when he fell down from roof of a moving bus at Kungamnage Anantnag. He was immediately rushed to hospital where he died.

One Rustam Sheikh slipped and fell into river Jehlum when he was fishing at Chahal Hydroelectric Project at Uri today. His body was later recovered, he said.

A police constable Intikhab Alam was injured when his motorcycle met with an accident at Lawaypora today. He was hospitalised.

Fire broke out in a building housing the141 batalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp at Kakpora in south Kashmir early this morning. Two Carbines, two 9MM Magazines and 40 rounds of ammunition were also damaged in the incident, a police spokesman said.

In two different incidents of fire overnight at Zaldoora and Machua three houses and shops were damaged.
