Talks without militants meaningless: Omar
Srinagar, Apr 11 (UNI) National Conference (NC) Chief Omar Abdullah today said the central committees set up to deal with the troop withdrawal issue were actually meant for reconfiguration and relocation of armed forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to journalists after addressing a public meeting at Qazigund, he said the peace process was meaningless without the inclusion of militants in the ongoing talks.
Mr Abdullah said the Centre has set up committees to discuss relocation and reconfiguration of armed forces in Jammu and Kashmir and not for any troop withdrawal.
''More troops have been deployed in Kashmir in the recent past.
The people are being fooled by the slogan of demilitarisation. The politicians are deceiving the masses,'' he added.
