Student kidnapped for ransom

Darbhanga, Apr 11 (UNI) A fourth standard student of Kendriya Vidyalay was kidnapped today when he was on his way to school.

Police said the incident took place at Panda Sarai locality under Laharisarai police station of Darbhanga town. The kidnapped student, Prince, is the son of a government employee Arun Mahto and the motive is believed to be ransom, police added.

The family member, who was escorting the kid, sustained injuries when he tried to resist the kidnappers.

All exit routes from the town had been sealed and intensive operation launched to rescue the boy, police said.
