State govt to pay Re one as sugar subsidy

Mumbai, Apr 11 (UNI) The Maharashtra government will pay sugarcane growers Rs 1,000 a tonne or Re one per kg on sugar exports, an official statement release here today said.

The government will also allow cane crushing to carry on till June 15 to liquidate the surplus stocks, the statement added.
