SPML bags orders worth Rs 309cr
New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) Subhash Projects and Marketing Ltd (SPML), a leading EPC player, has bagged orders worth Rs 309 crore to be executed in Bihar and Karnataka over a period 6-18 months.
These include projects worth Rs 220 crore to be executed for Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd and Hubli Electricity Supply Company Ltd in Karnataka and Rs 89 crore for Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) in Bihar on a turnkey basis.
The scope of work in Karnataka includes upgradation of existing substations, construction of 220/110/66 KV substations and transmission lines.
The PGICL order involves construction of new underground cabling as well as revamp of existing lines under the APDRP Phase II.
''We want to build on our competencies in the power sector.'' said Mr Subhash Sethi, Vice Chairman, SPML.
At present, the company's power business contributes to around 50 per cent of its total order book at Rs 2,900 crore.
