Silver, Gold up
Mumbai, Apr 11 (UNI) Precious metals were on the upswing today as Silver rose by Rs 90 per kg and Gold by Rs 20 per ten gm on the Bombay Bullion Exchange.
Silver fineness .999 opened high at Rs 19,860 per kg on good demand, later it improved and closed at Rs 19,910 with a gain of Rs 90 from yesterday's close.
In London, Silver also moved upward at USD 13.94/13.99 per troy ounce against USD 13.92/13.94 per troy ounce in New York.
Standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) opened high at Rs 9,430 and Rs 9,480 per ten gm respectively. Later, it slightly improved and closed at Rs 9,445 and Rs 9,495 with a gain of Rs 20 each from the last close.
In London, Gold increased at USD 676.00/678.85 per troy ounce as compared to USD 674.00/676.50 per troy ounce in New York on Tuesday.
