New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) After a relatively cool weekend in Delhi which saw cool Northerly winds bring relief to people of the city from the Summer heat, it was back to scorching hot conditions with the mercury shooting up to 38.3 degrees Celsius.

The hot Summer conditions kept most Delhiites in the comfort of their homes and offices as the maximum rose to 38.3 degrees Celsius, from 37 degrees C yesterday.

The minimum also remained at yesterday's high level of 21.5 degrees C, two degrees above normal.

Weathermen attribute the scorching heat in Delhi to a abatement in intensity of Northwesterly winds, which had been providing relief to Delhiites from the scorching Summer heat during the weekend.

The weather conditions are likely to become hotter in the coming days with the weathermen forecasting a rise in day temperatures over Northwest India in the next two to three days.

Also, the met office has forecast heat wave conditions over some parts of Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh during the next two to three days.

The met office has forecast a mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next few days. They have also forecast a rise in maximum temperature to 39 Degree C tomorrow.
