Rape victim 13 year old girl self immolates

Kota, Apr 11 (UNI) In a tragic incident, a 13-year-old girl committed suicide after she was allegedly raped by a youth at Dugari village in Bundi district yesterday.

Nanewa DYSP Omprakash Jangid said the victim used to stay with her grandmother in the village while her parents earned a living by working as construction labourers. She was alone in the house, when youth Geetharam barged in to her house and reportedly raped her. The girl who could not cope up with the humiliation, committed self-immolation pouring kerosene and setting herself ablaze.

The police are on the search for the accused.
