Rain brings relief
Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 11 (UNI) Rains continued to lash Kerala for the fourth consecutive day today, bringing relief from heat.
Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in the state and dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep, local MET Office said here.
The highest rainfall of 14 cm was recorded at Varkala followed by Konni -- 8 cm, Ottapalam 7 cm, Kollam 6 cm, Kayamkulam, Kumarakom and Thodupuzha received 5 cm of rain each, the office said.
Kottayam received 4 cm of rain and Thiruvananthapuram, Alapuzha and Chertala 3 cm each, it said.
The MET Office also forecast isolated heavy rains in the Southern parts of Kerala.
