Railway employees hold dharnas, demonstrations
New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) Railway employees today held demonstrations in front of offices of the divisional railway managers and the general managers protesting against the inordinate delay in making recommendations by the sixth CPC for payment of interim relief to Central government employees.
The protest in Delhi was a part of countrywide demonstrations by Railway employees in which they urged the commission that they should send their recommendations as required by the terms of reference of the pay commission.
The issue is slated for discussion with the VI CPC on April 16, 17 and 18 in the meeting of the National council with it, the general secretary of the All India Railwaymen's federation J P Chaubey said.
