Prime Focus registers 31 per cent growth

Chennai, Apr 11: Leading integrated end-to-end production and visual effects house Prime Focus, today announced that its consolidated reveune for the quarter stood at Rs 16.71 crore registering a 31 per cent growth over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Talking to newspersons here, Company Managing Director Namit Malhotra said "this quarter has been a very positive one for Prime Focus, where the profit before interest depreciation and tax for the quarter at Rs 10.62 crore, grew by 45 per cent over the corresponding quarter of the previous year." PAT (profit after tax) for the quarter stood at Rs 5.59 crore, with a growth of 48 per cent over the corresponding quarter of the previous year, he informed.

'Another strategic initative has been our growth within India with the penetration of Chennai market, the hub of Tamil Film industry and with a sizable advertising marketing as well." According to the statistics given by the company, the total income for nine months ending December 31 2006, at Rs 44.61 crore, grew by 33 per cent over the corresponding period of the previous year.

Consolidated profit after tax for the nine months stood at Rs 16.05 crore, signifying a growth of 45 per cent over the corresponding period of the previous year, he added.
