NSCBI ATC asstt manager committed suicide

Kolkata, Apr 11 (UNI) An assistant manager of the Air Traffic Control at NSCBI Airport here committed suicide this morning at his south Kolkata residence, a ATC Guild spokesman said here.

Anup Banga(35) slashed his wrist at Bhowanipur home. Banga had been working at the ATC for 12 years. after his traning he left for the northeast and came to Kolkata only last year.

The spokesman said thst the deceased was not in ''active channel'' duty guiding aircrafts. He was, however, working in the office only since he had not taken any ''ratings'' required for all air traffic controllers after completion of their training to be given duty for guiding aircrafts.

Banga is survived by his wife, a child and parents.
