Notices to DCP (Traffic), DCP (North) on Naya Bazar encroachments

New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) A local court today issued notices to DCP (Traffic) and DCP (North) to explain the measures undertaken to remove the encroachments in Naya Bazar area since 2006.

The notices were issued by Metropolitan Magistrate Ajay Goel on a complaint filed by one Praveen last year, which alleged that the MCD had failed to remove encroachments from Naya Bazar in North Delhi.

The Naya Bazar Station House Officer had refused to file an FIR in the matter.

The court has asked the DCP (north) for a status report of the FIRs filed in the case ever since.

The DCP (traffic) has also been sent notice to explain the measures taken to remove the encroachments.
