NASA delays shuttle launch to repair damaged tank
Cape Canaveral, Fla., Apr 11: NASA will delay the launch of space shuttle Atlantis at least until June 8 so its hail-damaged fuel tank can be repaired, managers at the US space agency said.
The tank's insulating foam was damaged in a freak hail storm in February. The space agency hoped to repair it in time for a May launch to the International Space Station but the work will not be completed in time, space agency officials said.
