More rains in the next 24 hours

Kolkata, Apr 11 (UNI) The city is likely to experience some more rains late this evening, Met opffice sources said.

The Met officials had also forecast heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder squall and hail at various places in West Bengal in the next 24 hours.

The wind speed might exceed more than 70 km per hour in many places over gangetic region, they added.

The weather was pleasant in the morning hours but the as the day progressed humidity in the atmosphere added to the discomfort of the people.

However, the sky remained partly cloudy throughout the day.

The maximum temperature recorded was 35 degree Celsius and the minimum was 26.6 degree Celsius, that is two degrees above normal.

The relative humidity was about 96 per cent, met sources said.
