Mercury dips in parts of Rayalaseema

Hyderabad, Apr 11 (UNI) Mercury dipped in parts of Rayalaseema even as isolated rain occurred over Telangana in the last 24 hours, while dry weather prevailed over the Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

The highest maximum temperature of 40 deg C was recorded at Adilabad, Anantapur, Medak, Nizamabad and Kurnool, the Weather Office said.

The maximum temperatures fell at a few places over Rayalaseema and changed little over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They were normal over the state.

Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema in the next 48 hours.

Rain or thundershowers are likely in parts of the state capital during evening or night. The maximum temperature will be around 39 deg C, the office added.
