Justice Mittal take oath

Jabalpur, Apr 11 (UNI) Justice Vinay Mittal was today sworn in as a permanent judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Anang Kumar Patnaik administered the oath of office to Justice Mittal at a ceremony organised in the High Court premises.

State Advocate General Ravinandan Singh, MP HC Advocates Association Chairman Adarsh Muni Trivedi, State Advocates Council Chairman Rameshwar Neekhra were among others present.

Justice Mittal had been appointed as an additional judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court in 2001 and a permanent judge on July 25, 2002.

He was appointed as a permanent judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court on April 7.

With Justice Mittal assuming charge, the strength of the High Court is 42 judges, which is in accordance with the sanctioned posts.
