Intl drug cartel busted,1.97 kg Heroin seized from Nigerian, Afghani

New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) The Delhi Police claimed to have busted an international drug cartel with the arrest of an Afghani national and a Nigerian from Dwarka area of South-West Delhi and seized 1.97 kg heroin worth nearly Rs two crores in the international market from them.

Based on a tip-off, the Police arrested Kabul resident Salae Mohammad from Dwarka yesterday afternoon while he was delivering the 1.97 kg consignment to Nigerian national Auguatian Okoye, Dy Commissioner of Police Special Cell, Alok Kumar said.

''The fine quality heroin is worth nearly Rs two crore in the international market,''he said.

During interrogation, Mohammad, who arrived here on April 7, said he was given the drug by one Farid Pathan in Kabul which was to be delivered to Augustian in Delhi for being sent to the International market.

Pathan even made me have a telephonic conversation with Augustian, he added.
