Implement 27 per cent reservation for OBCs soon: Naidu

Visakhapatnam, Apr 11 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu today said the 27 per cent reservation for OBCs in higher educational institutions should be implemented from this academic year.

Addressing a public meeting in front of the Collectorate here, he said the TDP would urge the Centre to implement the 27 per cent reservation for the OBCs from this academic year.

Earlier, talking to newspersons, Mr Naidu strongly condemned the police lathicharge on the TDP activists yesterday.

He said the party would urge the UPA government at the Centre to interfere in the Babli project issue.

The TDP would intensify its agitation if the Maharashtra government went ahead with the project, he said.
