HUDA to allot plots in Rohtak for defence and para military

Chandigarh, Apr 11 (UNI) Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has decided to allot 798 freehold residential plots for defence and para-military forces' personnel, ex-servicemen, war-widows and disabled soldiers in Sector 4 at Rohtak.

A HUDA spokesman said here that the allotment of the plots would be through draw. He said the applicant would submit only 10 per cent of the total cost payable with the application, 15 per cent amount would be paid within one month of the allotment and the balance in six equated annual installments. All the applicants must attach the certificate of eligibility issued by the respective Command Officer and Zila Sainik Board, he added.

Out of the 798 plots, 605 plots would be reserved for defence personnel, 149 plots for para-military forces' personnel and 44 plots for war-widows and disabled soldiers.

The spokesman informed that the officers of the rank of Colonel and above would be eligible to apply for one kanal plot only.

Other commissioned officers upto Lieutenant Colonel would be eligible for 14 marla and 10 marla plots only. Junior Command Officers and other ranks personnel would be eligible for the plots of 8, 6 and 4 marla, he added.

He said only those applicants would be eligible to apply who did not have a residential plot or house in any urban estate of the state. An affidavit to this effect attested by the First Class Executive Magistrate should be attached with the application. An individual can apply for only one plot.

The booking for the plots would commence from April 16, and the last date for submitting the application forms will be June 16.
