Heavy rain to occur in North Eastern states

Pune, Apr 11 (UNI) Heavy rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Andman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.

Dry weather will prevail over Gujrat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Rayalseema.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Haryana and west Rajasthan. Hot day conditions prevailed at isolated plcaes in coastal Saurashtra.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Uttaranchal, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north east Rajasthan, Gujrat region, Kutch, in parts of Saurashtra, in remaining parts of Haryana and west Rajasthan.

They were above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Telangana, north Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, in some parts of Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu.

The temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, north coastal Orissa and south Kerala.

They were below normal in south coastal Orissa and Jharkhand, while they were normal over the rest of the country.

Heavy to very heavy rains had occurred at most places in Nagaland Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Very light rains had occurred at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers had occurred at most places in Assam, Meghalaya, at many places in Kerala and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh. They also occurred at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and north interior Karnataka.

Dry weather prevailed over the Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Gujrat State, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Rayalseema and coastal Karnataka.
